VolumeLeaders.com is a powerful tool for traders, offering real-time data and insights to help them stay ahead in the market. However, their original website was holding them back – cluttered, visually overwhelming, and lacking the polished, app-like feel that today’s tech-savvy users expect. My task was to transform this dated, text-heavy site into a modern, intuitive experience that captures the energy of a fast-paced trading environment.

The Ask
VolumeLeaders.com approached me to transform their cluttered and outdated website into a modern, tech-forward experience. They wanted a clean, startup-inspired design that felt like an app, with a more intuitive user flow and a polished aesthetic. The original site was overwhelming, with aggressive colors, too much text, and poor image choices, making it hard for users to focus and navigate. My job was to bring clarity and usability to the forefront while capturing the energy of a fast-paced trading platform.
The Design
The design process started with a deep dive into the site's structure and user pain points. I focused on stripping away unnecessary clutter, balancing the visual hierarchy, and creating a more intuitive layout. I chose a clean, modern color palette, toned down the aggressive hues, and incorporated strong typography for clarity. The goal was to create a streamlined, app-like experience that kept users engaged without overwhelming them. My design approach emphasized quick information access, smart use of space, and a cohesive visual style that feels fresh and forward-thinking.

For this project, I designed all components, style guides, and UI elements in Figma, ensuring every piece was pixel-perfect and ready for code. Typically, I would implement my designs directly in Framer, but this project had a unique requirement. The client needed the code pushed to their private GitHub repository, so I brought in a front-end developer to handle the build. I managed the entire development process through ClickUp, keeping the team aligned and the project on track. The result is a site that not only looks great but also delivers a seamless, app-like experience on the client’s own servers.

This project reinforced the importance of balancing aesthetics with usability. By stripping away the noise and focusing on a clean, modern design, we transformed VolumeLeaders.com into a more engaging and user-friendly platform. It was a great reminder that even the most data-heavy sites can benefit from thoughtful design and streamlined user flows.
