Jules Angelina Author
Jules Angelina, a talented author with a distinctive voice, needed a website that truly reflected her brand while providing an intuitive, seamless way for fans to discover and purchase her books. Her old site felt dated, with clunky navigation and a lack of cohesive branding, making it difficult for readers to connect with her work.

The Ask
Initially, I was brought on to design Jules' book covers, but as our collaboration grew, it became clear that her website needed the same level of attention. The goal was to create a digital space that captured the emotional tone of her writing, simplified the buying process, and made her work shine.
The Design
I began by drawing inspiration from the book covers I had already created, ensuring a consistent visual style across her brand. This approach helped establish a cohesive look and feel, making the site more visually appealing and deeply reflective of her storytelling. I used immersive imagery, carefully selected typography, and thoughtful color palettes to capture the essence of her writing, creating a space that feels as engaging and mysterious as her stories.
the development
I built the site primarily in Framer, handling all aspects of the design and implementation to ensure tight integration between form and function. I brought in a developer to assist with specific elements like mobile navigation and CAPTCHA integration, while I managed the rest, from design system creation to final deployment, ensuring every detail aligned with the author’s vision.
the takeaway
This project reminded me of the power of consistent branding and the importance of aligning every design choice with the author’s voice. It reinforced the idea that great design is not just about aesthetics but about creating an emotional connection between the creator and their audience. It was a rewarding journey, transforming a basic website into a captivating, reader-first destination that truly reflects the author's world.
