While working as a Sr. UX/UI Designer at Sylvan Road Capital, I was tasked with redesigning the Sylvanhs.com website. The primary goal was to improve user engagement and conversion rates by creating a more intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric platform for potential tenants. This project aimed to address critical pain points identified through user research, including clunky navigation, missing user login features, and poorly optimized property search tools.

CHALLENGE
SylvanRoad Homes aimed to increase tenant engagement and conversions, but the existing site suffered from clunky navigation, outdated search tools, and missing features like user accounts and favorites. The challenge was to elevate the user experience by creating a clean, intuitive platform that addressed these hurdles—improving usability while fostering trust among potential renters.
Design
A refreshed experience was crafted in Figma, focusing on showcasing properties with clarity and elegance. Watermarks were removed for cleaner visuals, while key listing details—such as square footage—were integrated to enhance decision-making. The landing page now features immersive image galleries, and streamlined navigation includes a unified search bar, improved dropdowns, and strategically positioned secondary links for streamlined browsing. An enhanced map view with larger images and refined hover tooltips adds both clarity and visual appeal to property exploration.

Though not implemented, the redesign was delivered as high-fidelity Figma prototypes, complete with a scalable style guide and design system for seamless handoff. The deliverables emphasized accessibility, performance, and maintainability—laying a strong foundation for future development and iterative improvements.
